Arduino Acclimate will include educational classes on hardware and software components of the Arduino Uno. This series of classes aim to introduce WMC’s members to Arduinos, leading to the Arduino Acclimate Competition in Spring. TinkerCAD will be used during classes and challenges; physical Arduinos are optional. The purpose of Arduino Acclimate is to give WMC members an opportunity to learn about physical computing, using Arduinos. In addition to its educational zoom classes, Arduino Acclimate will provide short term, challenging, Arduino projects which will help members add to their resumes, increase their skill sets, and boost their confidence as engineers. |

The Women Machinist Club is excited to announce an OnShape Training program this Fall Quarter 2020! Whether you are new to computer-aided design (CAD) or an expert, this training has something for everyone. Sometimes there’s a disconnect between designing and machining a part, but this training’s goal is to close that gap, so we will be ready to be machine trained when it’s safe to return to the shop again. Join us for virtual self-paced training of the CAD program, OnShape, including biweekly part drawing practice! Hope to see you at office hours! |
